Will Ted Kennedy give Caroline Kennedy driving lessons over the Chappaquidick bridge?

- Kennedy began expressing alternate ideas about the situation:
- "Why couldn't Mary Jo have been driving the car? Why couldn't she have let me off, and driven to the ferry herself and made a wrong turn?"
- Kennedy asked to be brought back to the cottage to establish the story. After a while he would leave.
- Kennedy suggested that when he was back at the Shiretown Inn, Gargan could "discover" the accident and report to police that Mary Jo had been alone in the car.

The cops tried to cover up the accident...
He was never given any kind of ticket for leaving an accident scene...
You can point this out to the american public, but a lot of them will never believe that their Camelot was really just a Camel Toe.
As far as the accident goes, that bridge at night was a dangerous place. I don't even necessarily think he was drunk.
But...this means that his guilt should taint his relatives...and particularly his niece Caroline....why?
But could you explain just what on earth does it have to do with Caroline Kennedy? Is it because they share the same last name, so you feel you have to slander this young woman, whose father was murdered when she was a child, for the perceived sins of 78 year old uncle who has recently been diagnosed with a malignant cancerous tumor? Have you no shame?
Out of curiousity, do you also feel that she should take responsibility for starting the Peace Corps or vitalizing America's space program, as her father did before being shot down?
In any case, your "question" isn't a question, it is a barely-camouflaged and somewhat archaic political rant. Why not take it to a more appropriate website, and use this one for asking questions for which you actually want "Yahoo Answers"?

Kennedy WAS charged and found GUILTY of leaving the scene of an accident.
The only crime he committed, when he actually LEFT the scene.....to GO GET HELP !!!!!!!! A Duh!
He returned to the scene, with 2 friends, BOTH of whom ALSO tried to reach the submerged car and FAILED.
The next day........in DAYLIGHT...the POLICE CHIEF also tried....and FAILED.
Experienced rescue Divers were called in......and at first......THEY FAILED........due to the current.
They finally succeeded in reaching the car and extracting the body.
