I'm not an atheist but neither do I belong to any religion at the moment. I believe atheists have as much right as theists to answer in this section because it is not just a religion section it is a spirituality section. They have a right to discuss their spirituality(or lack thereof) too. Just want people's ideas, don't want pointless arguements. Thanks!I have very little knowledge about athesists but I was told that athesis worship the devil if you are not sved in other words Did not accept Jesus Christ as Your Lord and savior that you are a Child of the Devil point blank. I have a friend that is an athesis but ipray for him because no none is perfect and I treat him no different that some one who is a muslim or a christian because no one is perfect! it is not my job to look down or judge anyone cause that is not my job i accept people as they are!Not a problem,just a precaution to save from the ever burning Hell fire.I can't answer for everyone but I enjoy the posts. This is a forum for questions and answers. I'm not sure why some people think they can monitor who asks the questions.I think that when it comes down to it, many people don't really believe in the Freedom of SpeachHi Lex, welcome to our little angry world. The Christians are very hostile towards us because we have questions about their religion that they can't answer. They can't give us a good reason why "god" doesn't save children from being killed by horrible people. Why a good kind person can have a bizarre random tragic death and those who would be deserving of such a death live into their 90's and with wealth. We have good questions, and many of us used be christians until we examined the bible more closely and found it to be too flawed and full of contradictions for us to blindly follow. So, they damn us to hell for haveing a brain to ask with and useing it for something besides worshipping something we feel doesn't exist. We tease them for following blindly like sheep. Come play with us.......Hey, I much prefer the atheist over the fundamentalists. The fanatics use only one source to prove their 'points'. The bible. Atheist on the other hand, have mountains of scientific evidence. I believe in God, I can't prove it. In my opinion, it has been proven to me that the bible is in no way a God inspired book.It's not my place to judge anyone so I will not, but why would an atheist want to visit Religious site? I worked with an atheist once and she tried to push her lack of belief in God on me. She said there was no God and no Heaven and Hell. Well I believe 100% plus in God and in Heaven. Maybe it will help those that don't believe to be on this section, maybe one day they will invite God into their life. I am a Christian and I am very proud of that. Without God in my life it would be a total shamble. I try to live my life by God's laws and yes I make mistakes because I am human and I will sin because I am not perfect and I never will be. Our God is wonderful and He knows this after all He is our creator. You know a good Christian will try to set a good example for others and pray for those that do not believe as well as the believers and maybe one day the non-believers will get down on their knees and ask God to come into their lives and guide them to be good servants to Him to help lead others to him so that when the time comes they too can go to His Kingdom and not be left behind. I would never force anyone to listen to my testimony but am always happy to share with others. God has been very good to me and I am very thankful. Their lives have no meaning so they lash out at those who are making better choices than they are. It's both ignorance and jealously all piled into one with a dash of elitist condescension.being unwelcomed or having a problem with isnt soo bad. imagine that nowadays, atheists can be murdered for their beliefs in some nations!Well... some people are just like that. I like to believe that most of the people who insult either athiests or theists are fundamentalists of their beliefs. Fundamentalism is something that, I believe, leads from ignorance of everybody else's perspective.They're afraid that deep down they may be wrong - hey they wouldn't need to be so defensive if they were sure!

It is rather funny when the fundies get so upset that they can't even spell and they just babble on and onI totally agree. I have no problems with atheists or anyone else except those who would condemn others for their beliefs or lack of.....

Blessed Be )O(I do believe that they aren't obligated to any religion, but I do also believe that Jesus is the son of God. And that he has allllllllllll power in his hands. And as a Christian and as a citizen of USA, I believe that we are not to judge each other. But we are to help each other, and we are to spread the gospel. And I don't mean the music category. I mean the "good news". And the gospel that I am sharing is that I don't have to worry about anything, and there is a person that puts me in that mindset.

someones else stated, "i don't have a problem with atheists..."and in the same breath said, "it's not my fault they will go to hell". just proves my point.

sometimes we need to agree to disagree and go to our own corners. it's the Internet people. I've never seen such a large group of people *atheist and theist alike* get their panties in a bunch so quickly!I actually see more of a tendency of atheists to be rabidly attacking other religions. I wish people would wuit posting the same stuff on this matter over and over. I think these issues should be discussed peacefully or not at all.I don't have any problems with them, I just pity them. They are missing the whole point of existence.I have no problems with anyone.Believers are afraid that their beliefs will be exposed for the delusions that they are.Opinions are like noses everybody has one. Yours is welcome. I have no probem with atheists. But next time you get drunk or hit turbulance on an air plane, just listen to yourself or the person next to you . In my opinion theres no such thing an an atheists .Because most atheists that run in the Olympics these days seem to be on Steroids or something...it gets very frustrating :-)i agree with you. i am an athiest. i think the major problem is that people fear what they do not understand. for some reason, athiests are thought to be evil people. which is far from the truth.Your thumbs down only make me stronger. dark ones. I'm atheist, but if there were gods then there'd certainly be more than one. Think about it. Everything living in this world comes from 2. Nothing can reproduce by itself.

You just answered your own question. Just like atheist get tired of christians trying to convert them Christian get tired of atheist spreading their ideas to young kids. If atheist have no religion why are they in the religion and spirituality section. They have none, therefore their main goal is to start arguments/debates.It's not necessarily about them being athiest. Some people who are athiest mock people who believe in a God. It's when people who do that, or people who mock believers in religions other than their own, that people take issues with it.Because many people think that everyone should live their lives just like they do.I find it funny how those who don't believe in god. Are pitied by those who do. God doesn't exist. God was an invention by man so that man could explain where they came from. The oldest question man has asked is what is the meaning of life and what is beyond it.
Since there isn't any real answer to that they had to come up with something to tell there children. I will not go to hell I will not go to heaven. all that will happen is that my energy will be dispersed though out the universe like any other star that explodes.
I pity those who believe an an invisible man in the sky that will shun you for not doing what he says and let you kiss his feet if you do what you're told. I think it was best said " Oh My God! I'm a sinner and God's a pervert. " lol
I love life but God has nothing to do with the world. If I have to believe in God I have to believe in Zeus, Vishnu, Anansi. No god is better than another god. Religion just breeds war. Look at the Crusades, look at the Inquisition and look at modern day Israel.
Religious people are trained to not be open minded. I don't hate Your god and I don't hate religion. I just think that it's about time that those who think that everyone that doesn't believe in God should just leave those of us who don't alone and stop hating. I don't try to convert you out of Christianity or Mormonism don't try to convert me in.I don't see how this being a spirituality section is relevant given that most of the most vocal atheists also deny the existence of spirit too.
Basically it is like having a bunch of loud-mouthed temperance freaks and teetotalers at a seminar on beer-making.Its not necessarily about what you believe, sometimes its a matter of how you express yourself and how tolerant or intolerant you are when it comes to other peoples ideas that don't coincide with yours. Some people take these things to the limit, there are those that think believers are ridiculous and childish, others think that non-believers are all children of Satan. Well, I know a lot of believers and non-believers and on both sides there are good people, so-so people and idiots. This is life, everyone thinks he/she has the answer. None of us truly know why we are here, what happens after we die, etc. So we make up a bunch of stories and different people choose to believe different stories. I say make the most of it, whatever your belief, live by the golden rule and do your best to make this place a little better than you found it.
