What do you think about this annoying guy?

  • This guy is nothing but a just classmate only during this semester.
He is unattractive for me from the beginning. He is unattractive to many girls, I think. He asked me about my private about cooking, eating, detail about my history and so on. I have felt really annoyed with him, so I ignored for one month. However, he never noticed that I do not like him at all, he does not care my ignoring him. I told about my boyfriend. He wants to know everything about me. I have never asked him about him cuz he is very unattractive to me. I do not even see his eyes. I have felt stress by his strong interests in me and I hate this class because of him. Why SOME American men are persist to ask private questions for me in spite of just classmate. Is this behavior rude against women at all in the US? Is this acceptable for American women?

  • You are not obligated to this guy in any way shape or form. I understand that sharing a class with him makes you want to be polite, I would want to be polite as well. HOWEVER, this guy is CLEARLY choosing to ignore your polite hints at your disinterest. You are absolutely fine in telling him you just don't have time for him in your busy life...you aren't interested in him in that way...or just a plain "LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" If you are concerned abut him stalking or harassing...talk to campus security & your professor before telling him anything that will set him off. But he does sound like a typical aggressive US gut going after someone he likes...Yes, i bothers me too (when I am nt interested, of course!)

  • You fail to mention your nationality, but I would suggest he's just curious. I doubt he's even attracted to you since his behavior seems more interested in how you live and not whether you'll go out with him. Curiosity is encouraged in America because it promotes worldliness and tolerance. However if he is being too personal you may simply say "That is too personal for me to answer." He should then apologize. If he does not ask him not to speak to you because he makes you uncomfortable.

  • Well thats your fault for being a rude ignorant bit*h! You dont have to get that personal with him. I would be honest and just tell him you really dont want to talk to him about personal details BUT YOUR WRONG ON YOUR BEHALF FOR BEING RUDE AND HURTING THE POOR GUYS FEELINGS!! I mean be open and at least show him some respect for cryst sakes!!! The guy is just trying to be friendly and have a conversation. GOD!

  • you're a mean cow like most girls.. just because you find him unattractive doesn't mean you can't be friends.. he could be the nicest person out there.

  • Some men just don't get the hints that you aren't interested, or don't care and think they can change your mind...

Unless you tell him straight out, he will probably continue to do the things that annoy you...

So, you might as well be flattered that someone is so interested in you...

  • its not acceptable..... tell him ur not interested and continue to ignore him when he ask questions tell him "i do not discuss my personal life i am here to learn

  • maybe he just likes you as a person and figured you were interesting and wanted to become friends with you. its okay to have friends of the opposite sex. some people actually find having friends enjoyable. also just because hes ugly doesnt mean you cant be friends. im sure you would get pretty upset if someone didnt want to be your friend because your not from the usa. if however, u still really dont care about anything i just said, you can tell him that you're not looking for friends, but you'll most likely come across as mean and rude. the semester ends soon, hopefully you can just wait until its over and never have to see him again.
