Rovers @ Aston Villa, 1/1 [R]
For Rovers, Bothroyd may be facing a fitness test, but otherwise I can't see us changing things up much at all. We're not playing the prettiest football at the moment, but we have as much fight as I've seen in any side for a long time.
One last thought; There's only one Paul Dickov! :D
Did he? I've been all over the place since I got back, so I guess I missed that. Stead was very unlucky against Bolton. You have to think that as soon as he gets that one goal he may get back into some decent form. Sometimes that first one is the hardest to come by.
That header Stead put off the bar was very unlucky. Listening to the game it sounded like the Rovers announcers nearly had a heart attack.
With the injury woes we've had up front, I have to wonder if we are secretly looking at a striker.
The announcers weren't the only ones, the whole Blackburn section thought that one was sealed and delivered. If we had gotten that second goal, the game would have been over much sooner than the final whistle.
Not a good performance at all. We created very, very little aside from hitting a post, and frankly absorbed a ton of pressure in the second half before finally giving up the goal. Not bad defensively, but where are the goals? I'm disgusted.
i was actually golfing as this game was going on. then i watched sky sports and saw that we went down 1-0. too bad the scoreline was a bit flattering. Goals are gonna be a problem for this team all year. I really do think Hughes has righted the ship defensively. However, if we go down it will be lack of goals that does it, not our defense.

Actually I just read that Bothroyd is out for a month. Man is that frustrating, can any of our strikers besides Dickov stay healthy?
