I thought the GM Volt would be "it", but the production version isn't quite the sporty coupe the concept drawings made it out to be. Also, the Toyota FT-HS concept has been quiet of late (possibly dead)? Although with our luck it'd turn out to be a minivan. Has anyone heard any news on a PHEV, or "extended range electric vehicle" sports coupe coming any time soon?I'd go with the Tesla hands downThere are plans available for a DIY PHEV that is pretty sporty looking. Its actually a three-wheel vehicle that gets 225MPG on diesel and battery power, or 125 MPG on diesel only. It has a range of 40 miles on battery only. Top speed of 80MPH.Chrysler is going to release the electric sports car in 2010 same as the GM's Volt. It was featured at the recent LA auto show. You can always go for the pure plug-in (non-hybrid) Tesla Roadster.. That puppy is in production and will set you back $100,000.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
