One of my best mates mums commited suicide today...?

  • Basically after my friend got home from school she recieved a phone cal that her mum ( who lives in London while we live in Devon) had jumped infront of a train. My friend thinks it was her fault as she didnt et on with her mum and had an argument with her the ngiht ebfore. My friend doesnt want anyone else to know and she is training off to London tomorrrow for obvious reasons. How do i keep this all bottled up and shall i just leave her alone while she is in London to bond wiht her brother there, and not text her or anything. How do i keep it a secret etc etc. Help please.

  • It's her business so don't tell anybody.
Just text her tomorrow morning- ask her if she is ok and if she needs to talk than you are there for her.
It wasn't her fault- make sure she knows that.

  • That's tough. Definitely don't tell anyone, your friend has trusted you enough to tell you and this isn't the kind of situation you want to use for gossip. I'm sure your friend must be going through a horrible time right now. Send her a text to let her know that you're there if she needs to talk, but if she needs her space then give it to her. But definitely don't tell anyone. If you do you'll be hugely betraying her trust, and this is a time when she needs to be able to rely on her friends.
If she does need to talk about it, make sure you reassure her that it was not her fault. Her mom was probably depressed for a long time and most likely needed professional help, there was nothing your friend could have done.

  • Maybe you shouldn't have put this on yahoo answers if you wanted to keep it a secret so badly!!!

  • Mum? Is that some type of flowers. Im afraid I'm not familiar with that phrase.
