How to tell if cat is neutered?

  • We took in a stray from the cold last night and i wasnt sure if he is neutered or not. Is there a way to tell?

    Or if it neutered all you see is a little flap of skin in between its legs.


  • 1 Look for testicles, if you see them he isn't neutered; however they can be small.

    2 Look at the size of him, if he is unusually large and has a muscular looking frame and thick face then he probably isn't neutered (or he could have been neutered later in life).

    3 He will spray around your house if he isn't neutered. If he doesn't spray then he is neutered.


  • Bring in 1 male cat and 1 female cat. Leave the stray with each separately 12 hours a day for 4 months or so. If neither the female cat you brought in nor the stray gets preggers then you know it's been neutered.

    Other than that I'd say catch it asleep and just look and feel for yourself.


  • A cat which is NOT neutered has big testicles. When neutered, there is still something there, but much smaller.


  • does it have balls?


  • no nuts
