Absolutely not. I have no interest or enthusiasm for atheism. However, I get your point: why do atheists hang around the belief section!I love debating with others and I really value the opinions of others. Just because we don't share Jesus doesn't mean what others have to say doesn't count. I probably wouldn't miss the vindictive and ignorant comments from some on yahoo, but then again, I'm sure many others who aren't chritians don't like those comments either.
Just realised I haven't answered the question... don't think I would go into separate sections if they were there. I like the fact anyone with an interest in things of the spiritual are facilitated together. :o)its enteetaining to see what they do.Let the atheists stay here, how will they know God if they don't debate with christians?Now let me ask you....why isn't religion in the mythology section?You know you can't resist the lure of reason ;)There is already an atheist web-site

Do you HAVE to believe in UFOs to have an interest in them? NO. Do you HAVE to believe in wizards and hobbits to have an interest in them? NO.

Atheists will visit you.What, you don't want a Christian section? Atheists are emphatically unspiritual. We like it that way, and we come on R&S to Testify to eachother on the merits of disbelief. We enjoy our non-Faith as much as you enjoy your faith. We'd do well in our own section. Sure some of us would read through our section getting the best points about why there is no God, then come over to the Christian section and tell you all about it. But it'd probably be more fruitful. We get a lot more accomplished talking to eachother than we do talking to you lot.Differing religions are a form of sectarianism,healthy debate on religion has been enjoyed by free thinkers since relgions were invented.why spoil it now?While I know some thing about atheism I am much better educated on theology. Probably because there is nothing about atheism I am interested in knowing.
I probably could not answer questions on atheism as well as some others. Probably better than a lot of "atheists", but, not as well as some. It really wouldn't interest me.
Since I could not make a positive contribution to the discussion I would not hang out there.
Sometimes I hang out at the main answers page and answer questions though, so, if an interesting question came up on the main page while I was hanging out I would answer it.
Good question.Freedom to assembly.I quite like Atheists. Especially when they don't pretend to be God. I might saunter over to one for their sections just of the occasional telling off.I don't think I would be welcomed in an all atheist category,so no I don't think I would.I am sure some of them would, because they like to debate and opinions as much as we do, we all have our insecurities and we are all out there looking for the answers. I don't hate Christians, I just don't believe in the church organisations and I don't believe that the bible is the word of God, what I believe is that the religious community has a right to their God, but that the church has usurped Gods position in society. the path to your God is a personal journey!
us atheist get a bit of a bad rap from the Christians, I would like to point out that not all of us are ignorant of your faith and most of us understand and empathise with your beliefs, I quite often read the bible and I make it my mission to know as much as I can, how can you deny something of which you have no knowledge. c'mon the debate is good!#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
