I dropped my camera and the mounting ring on the lens broke. One of the tabs that locks in broke off.
Can this be repaired or do i need a whole new lens?how much did you pay for the lens? If under $500 it will likely be cheaper to replace the lens if you broke what I think you broke.so it's basically a kit lens. You'd spend more fixing it than it's worth.
Agreed. You can get a nifty fifty f/1.8 for $100-125 USD and zoom with your feet. It's a great lens to boot (as well). The same thing happened to my kit lens. I just stopped using it. . . .Can you post a picture? Maybe link to an image of your type of lens on the manufacturer's site, so we know which lens you mean, and wether we can muster an opinion.so it's basically a kit lens. You'd spend more fixing it than it's worth.not even a kit lens, but a quantaray kit lens. Looks like you've got a new paperweight.
Also if you need glass now but dont have the budget, consider renting. Its this...http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=290163319778&Category=106863&_trksid=p3907.m29
i dont have the money yet to replace it. I have a roll due tomorrow and this my only other lens is a 300mm.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
