My PC only plays internet videos by using Quicktime, and I do not want
this. I much prefer Windows Media Player. Even though I've
uninstalled every Quicktime program, link, refernece, etc., I can find
-- it doesn't seem to make any difference. How can I make Windows
Media Player my preferred or default video playback choice on my PC?
And why does Quicktime continue to linger on my system? I want it
gone please. THANKS G ANSWERS!None of the other commentators understands your question -- but I do.
Just go to start/control panel/quicktime/mime settings and then clear
the check marks for mpeg files, then click Apply. You'll be back to
Windows Media Player!right click over a file that normally plays with quicktime and go to
the "open with" then "chose program" highlight windows media
player program and check the box that says always use selected program
to open this kind of file ..I already have Windows Media Player installed on my computer. It
(happily) was my defualt program for everything video until a week
ago. NOw whatever I play -- only plays via Quicktime. I don't want to
take each and every file I play and go thru the steps of having to
choose Windows Media Player each time -- I simply want WMP to play
everything, globally, in every application. In other words, I want
Quicktime to go away forever. I have no idea how it became my primary
video/media player!#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
