Mojo Hand
(I think it's called) Big Car Blues Sam "Lightnin'" Hopkins was deeply influenced by Blind Lemon Jefferson and played with a style deeply rooted in Texas Blues.
"See That My Grave Is Kept Clean" quite possibly could be the most famous composition by Jefferson and "Lightnin'" did a breathtaking version.
"Short-Haired Woman"
"Tom Moore's Farm" (he was beaten by white farmers when this song came out)
"Lonesome Home"
"Jake Head Boogie"
"Angel Child"

Check out "The Gold Star Sessions, Volumes I & II" (Arhoolie)Volume l is a classic........Volume II is great;but, not as dazzling as I
"How Many More Years I Got" (Fantasy) Billy Bizor on harp is extraordinary

  • I too enjoy Big Car Blues, which was the first Lightnin' song I knew.
  • Big Car Blues

"Excuse me miss, for askin' you this, but who may your good man BE?"

I like "Play with your Poodle" too. He made a ton of great tunes.
  • "Shake That Thing"
    'Po Sam was the greatest
