Need good bible study book?

  • hey, my friends and I are starting a bible study and would like a good study to use. We are all reformed christians, and range from 15-18 years of age. Thanks!

  • Maybe try "Darwin for Beginners" by J. Miller.

you know seeing as how you're reformed and all that.

  • This one is an online resource.

It's the story of a Harry Potter like youngster and his little sister who decide to "figure out" the Bible on their own. I recommend it because they try their best to look at everything from the Lord's point of view, rather than the theological point of view. And it is a fun read!

    Enjoy

  • I would check with your local Church first. For example.. I am Catholic and the Catholic Church offers study guides to assist with Bible studies. They also have a program with DVD's and workbooks to help groups with Bible Studies. I know that other Christian groups have similar programs. I think that it is wonderful you are starting a bible study group. May God Bless each and every member of your study group and open your heart and minds to receive His Word. AMEN!!

  • Simply work from that Big Book itself :-)

Take it where you feel you all should go. If you start bringing in other materials, you run the risk of bias. Give yourself a chance to honestly assess what you read, and most importantly for a setting like that, what it means to each of you, without outside influence.

  • A reformed alcoholic is cured of his alcoholism. Is a reformed Christian cured of Christianity?

  • Go to the Tomorrows World website. They have an excellent Bible Study Course which is free of charge.

  • Here is a website that teaches the meaning of every verse of every Book in the Bible: http://www.soniclight.com/constable/note...

You can use this to teach the Bible verse by verse :)
