Another type of lock you will see on the market is the sliding door lock. This type of door lock works well for interior doors; however it is not suitable for exterior doors. When in place, the sliding door lock allows security and privacy for occupants inside the room, but it cannot be locked and accessed from outside the door.
While not seen as frequently, some door locks on the market require the entry of a numerical password in order to allow access. When set, it is much more difficult to break into a door with a dead bolt lock than any other type of door lock. Dead bolt locks can be installed on both wooden and metal doors. The price of dead bolt locks can vary; however, a good quality dead bolt lock can provide security and peace of mind for many years.
