I now am a proud owner of a zeiss ikon... point and shoot? :D It was so lonely... lying there. And for only 10 bucks I couldn't pass it up. :) It's a zeiss ikon contina. Pantar 1:2.8 f=45mm lens. Made in germany stuggart. (I hope it's not DDR!) After some q-tips and vodka it looks really good. The shutter is pretty much busted... and from what I can tell, it lags by about a stop from the indicated value. Hopefully 30+ shutters speeds are accurate. It got better after a few dozen cycles. I hope someone can help me... I want to take close-up portraits and have the background blur... how can I achieve this... is it possible with my camera? Hey I was wondering if someone would please help me out by giving me some advice. I would like to start taking pictures with a good camera. I am getting two or three ferrets within the next two months. I went to to a little store today (not from bad breeders) and I held one. It was a eight week old baby and its teeth sunk into my skin! It hurt so badly and it was bleeding. When I get them, how long would it take for them to learn not to bite me so hard. Currently i had an upload image page which would upload the image and create session variables of the images name. title. description and resolution which it would pass to the next page. hi all! here's the story, last friday I've been to Vienna and saw that cute Fed 2 (B) in a old box in a photographic store (for condition see pictures :D). the shutter worked fine though the curtains were a bit dry and the viewfinder was dimm/dirty/greasy. Should I leave my white balance on auto setting on my Nikon d70s or adjust it manually for each shot? Not sure if I "trust" auto, ya know?Personally, I would trust "Auto" and the huge amount spent by Nikon to make it accurate. Try it both ways if you wish, but I'm sure you will go back to Auto.use auto for now, but as you get better and learn more you will want to switch to manual. it really does make a difference when you know how to use it. as PW said though, trust it for now.Auto works well enough for outdoor shots for me, but whenever shooting indoor I manually set it to Incandescent or Flourescent - it never seems to read either of those lightings properly for me. My oven has instructions on how to use the self-cleaning feature, but one step of the directions is ambiguous. The step says "set the 'stop cleaning' timer." But set it to what? Hi, I'm using the latest T3CH XBMC release, and I'm pretty sure in the past I was able to use stacking differently for different folders... i.e. not have a tv show folder stacking, but have a movie folder stack (as tv shows tend to be sequentially numbered and get annoyingly stacked to a single file, but movies tend to be cd1 and cd2 and need stacking) I have the option set to remember views for different folders, but that doesn't seem to include stacking, which gets globally set to all folders under the video view... The G side of this account is looking to purchase a camera and equipment that are tailored for the use of macros and portraits, but obviously a high quality cam for absolutely everything. I know that motion/shape animations cause less lags then frame-by-frame animation, I'm making a game and I think the speed of the Flash Player is very important. is it better to make all the motions in Flash, then play it directly or export the animation into .gif file and import them in Flash again(in order to make frame-by-frame animation)?
